Up for auction today is a Vintage Adler Sonora German-system Bb clarinet. An Adler Sonora clarinet refers to woodwind instruments produced under the historic partnership of the East German manufacturer Oscar Adler & Co. and the Sonora brand name. Oscar Adler & Co. was founded in Markneukirchen, Germany (a famous hub for instrument manufacturing). In 1974, under the East German state-owned VEB B&S umbrella, several distinct workshops including Oscar Adler (Sonora) were merged. "Sonora" originally began as a model line for Adler instruments (particularly famous for their bassoons) before transitioning into its own distinct brand label. Condition: The clarinet is in ok condition considering its age and shows clear signs of previous use. The instrument will need a full overhaul to be in pristine playing condition. A wonderful clarinet for sure that would make a great addition for a student, advanced player and/or collector, so don't miss out!
