White Fairy - Nadia Comaneci

A rare and highly collectible Japanese photography book dedicated to legendary Romanian gymnast Nadia Comaneci, one of the most celebrated athletes in Olympic history.

Published in Japan in 1979 by Baseball Magazine Sha to commemorate Comaneci's visit to Japan for the Gymnastics World Cup competition, this large-format volume presents an extensive collection of photographs documenting the career and international popularity of the iconic gymnast.

Nadia Comaneci became a worldwide sensation at the 1976 Montreal Olympic Games when she achieved the first perfect score of 10 in Olympic gymnastics history. Her remarkable performances and graceful style captivated audiences around the world and established her as one of the defining sports figures of the twentieth century.

This publication captures the height of the "Comaneci phenomenon" and serves as a fascinating visual record of her early career. Featuring numerous photographs, competition images, and commemorative material, the book offers an excellent overview of one of the most influential athletes in gymnastics history.

As an out-of-print publication released during the peak of Comaneci's international fame, this book has become increasingly difficult to obtain, particularly outside Japan. It remains highly desirable among collectors of Olympic memorabilia, gymnastics publications, sports photography, and vintage Japanese books.

A wonderful addition to any collection focused on Nadia Comaneci, Olympic history, gymnastics, sports culture, or rare twentieth-century publications.
