hand-carved block meerschaum pipe featuring a pierced/reticulated ("lace" or "filigree") bowl exterior, a ring-turned rusticated shank decorated with a repeating scrolled-circle motif, and a genuine horn stem in a warm honey-amber tone with a cloudy, streaked, marbled grain (horn is warm to the touch, unlike true amber or bakelite, which stay cool).
Possible age & provenance:
No visible hallmark, case, or maker's stamp — so this should be listed as "attributed," not confirmed. The carving style and horn stem are consistent with mid-20th-century (roughly 1940s–1970s) meerschaum work from the two historic centers of the craft: Vienna, Austria, or Eskişehir, Turkey. These pieces were commonly made for export to European and American tobacconists.

Condition:
Very good — no chips, cracks, or repairs visible in the carving; bowl shows light smoking patina inside the rim; stem intact with only minor surface wear at the bit.
