This work is a cornerstone of Counter-Reformation theology, authored by Johann Eck—Martin Luther’s most formidable, fierce, and intellectually brilliant opponent. ​A "Hidden Treasure" in the Binding (Manuscript Waste): As clearly show at photo, a parchment fragment of a 15th-century (or earlier) Gothic manuscript with two-color (red and blue) initials and hand-rubrication was used to reinforce the spine and inner boards.
