Authentic large Polish enamel apothecary/farmacy sign from the pre-WWII era. A rare original bowed enamel pharmacy sign (“Apteka”) used in Poland before World War II, featuring beautiful typography with bordered lettering and exceptional deep indigo blue colour (marine/lapis lazuli shade), much more vibrant in reality than visible in the photos. Enamel on bowed approx 2mm thick steel is created according to the former technology of layers (every layer is painted separately and it is possible to feel it under the fingers).
 A superb decorative and collector’s piece. Sign in authentic condition with genuine signs of use and ageing. Cleaned only from surface dirt, with a beautiful original patina preserved. Approximate dimensions: 100 × 40 × 4 cm, 11 kg.
