Anthony Trollope (/ˈtrɒləp/ ⓘ TROL-əp; 24 de abril de 1815 – 6 de dezembro de 1882)[2] foi um romancista inglês e funcionário público da era vitoriana. Entre os seus 47 romances mais conhecidos estão duas séries de seis romances cada, conhecidos coletivamente como as Crónicas de Barsetshire e os romances Palliser, bem como The Way We Live Now. Os seus romances abordam questões políticas, sociais e de gênero, bem como outros temas atuais.[3] Ele também escreveu uma autobiografia, um livro sobre William Makepeace Thackeray, um livro sobre Lord Palmerston, cinco livros de viagens e 42 contos.
