Egermann - Jarra - Cristal - Vaso Kristall Roxo

Egermann – Marika Art Glass Vase – Amethyst Purple – 30 cm – Handmade Bohemian Glass Description An elegant and expressive handmade Bohemian art glass vase by Egermann, from the famous glassmaking region of Nový Bor, Czech Republic. This impressive Marika vase stands approximately 30 cm high and features a rich amethyst-purple colour. The flowing twisted structure of the glass creates beautiful reflections and gives the vase a dynamic appearance. Depending on the light, the colour ranges from luminous violet and amethyst at the upper part to very deep, almost black-purple tones towards the base. The slightly flared upper section, slender body and substantial rounded foot give the vase an elegant and unmistakable silhouette. The piece retains its original Egermann label. The Egermann tradition The history behind the Egermann name is closely connected with Friedrich Egermann (1777–1864), an important figure in the history of Bohemian glass. Egermann worked in the Nový Bor region, historically known as Haida, one of the great centres of European glassmaking. He became renowned for his experiments with glass colouring, staining and decorative techniques and contributed significantly to the international reputation of Bohemian glass. He is particularly associated with innovative coloured staining techniques, including the famous red stain that became known as “Egermann Red.” The Egermann name subsequently became part of the long glassmaking tradition of Nový Bor, a region where generations of glassmakers have combined demanding manual craftsmanship with distinctive colours, forms and decorative techniques. The Marika vase offered here continues this tradition in a striking sculptural form.
