An outstanding international collection of authentic space exploration memorabilia, spanning the American Apollo moon landings, the Soviet space program, and Europe's pioneering deep-space exploration. This premium collector's lot includes the following 3 items: 1. 1969 Apollo 11 Bronze Commemorative Medal (100% Complete Set) The Medal: High-relief bronze medallion (approx. 63.5mm / 2.5") designed by sculptor Karen Worth and struck by the famous Medallic Art Company of New York. The obverse shows the crisp profiles of Armstrong, Aldrin, and Collins looking over the Moon with the Lunar Module Eagle. The reverse features JFK's iconic 1961 moon landing pledge. The Original Box & Insert: Comes with the authentic 1969 textured grey/cream hardcase box issued by the mint, as well as the rare original informational pamphlet detailing the artist and historical context. Medal is in Mint/Near-Mint condition. 2. 1991 Soviet Yuri Gagarin "First Man in Space" 30th Anniversary Medal The Medal: An original Soviet-era commemorative medal issued by the Baikonur Cosmodrome to mark the 30th anniversary of Yuri Gagarin’s historic 1961 flight. Distributed in the West by Sir Rowland Hill Ltd. Material: Aluminum. Features the Vostok 1 capsule on the obverse and Gagarin’s profile in full gear on the reverse. Safely preserved inside its original protective hard-plastic mint capsule. 3. 1985/1986 ESA Giotto Mission Press Kit (Complete with 24 Slides) The Press Kit: An original official press/information folder from the European Space Agency (ESA) dedicated to the historic Giotto Mission to Comet Halley—Europe's very first deep-space mission. The Slides: Includes the complete and untouched archive of all 24 original photographic slides/transparencies issued directly by the ESA press office for media distribution.
