This Megalodon tooth was found in Caroline Beach, North-Carolina. It comes from the Miocene and Pliocene epochs period and is estimated to be between 3.6 and 23 million years old. This is a beautiful and impressive tooth, measuring 12 cm (4.72 inches). It shows great natural colours with clear tones and hints of black, blue and brown running through the blade and bourlette. The bourlette is nicely intact. The serrations and tip are still sharp, the root is less intact but gives the tooth charachter. There has no restorations been done to the tooth. The tooth comes with a background information, making it an excellent addition to any fossil collection. I am based in the Netherlands, and this tooth is part of my own personal collection.
