A swordsmith active during the Edo period, holder of the official honorary title Ōmi no Kami, a distinction granted only to smiths of recognized skill and status.
No specific school attribution is imposed without additional certification.
Blade Description
This katana features classical proportions, with a 67.7 cm nagasa and a well-balanced 1.3 cm curvature, resulting in an elegant and functional profile.
The hamon is clearly visible and continuous, restrained in character and consistent with quality Edo-period workmanship.
The jihada can be subtly observed under oblique light, indicating a properly forged traditional blade, with no evident fatal flaws.
The nakago displays an old, natural patina, a single mekugi-ana, and a clearly recorded signature corresponding to the smith. Overall wear is honest and consistent with an authentic Japanese sword.
Koshirae (Mounting)
The sword retains its complete koshirae, enhancing both its historical and aesthetic value.
Tsuka: Dark blue tsuka-ito with natural age-related wear; genuine samegawa visible.
Menuki: Antique metal fittings with appropriate patina.
Fuchi-kashira: Finely worked metal set with traditional motifs and deep patina.

The sword maintains its full historical character: the nakago with patina, the blade with an authentic polish, and a coherent complete koshirae. Signs of use reflect its age and authenticity, enhancing its cultural and collectible value.
Blade is in good condition due to aging just superficial scratchings as normal. Not hagire and not fatal damage, of course. This is a japanese weapon so have a real historical value. This is a weapon with centuries, not machine crafted so can be minor movements of saya, tsuka, tsuba, etc. Because of dilatation, humidity, etc. and little damages propers of his age like small rust, scratches, etc.. Sold as is.
An Authentic nihonto japanese sword, difficult to find in Europe, without the consequent costs of importing from Japan or from Japanese sellers, which can increase the price of the sword by up to 30% and a months waiting for shipment and custom paperwork.
