A rare ram's horn fan, ca 1825 The tips of the fan are typical neo Gothic, therefore also called cathedral fan. Each point is lavishly decorated in gold lacquer, with foliage and flowers. The flowers formed by metal discs catching the light for extra effect. Both guards have remains of gold lacquer and have a border of metal discs. On the lamels of the fan are traces visible of gold lacquer and two rows of metal discs. The head of the fan is shaped as a flower. It was obviously reribboned with silk ribbon. An absolute collectible.
