Dirk Alvermann - photographer, cameraman, author. 1937 Dirk Alvermann was born in Düsseldorf, West-Germany. 1960 he moved to Berlin (West) and 1966 - also because of love - to Berlin (East). Since 1982 he has lived in the north-west of Mecklenburg (Germany). 1972 - 1976 he worked as director, author and cameraman of documentary films at the GDR television. His books "The end of a fairy tale - 21 made up stories", 1977 Hinstorff publishing company, Rostock) and "Big wheel and candy floss" , 1983 Kinderbuchverlag Berlin) are examples of his work. Many of his photographs have travelled around the world.
