Baston (4) - Lemn, Corn - circa 1900–1920
A refined and visually appealing set of four antique walking sticks, dating from the early 20th century (circa 1900–1920), representing both craftsmanship and everyday elegance of the period.
Each stick features a traditional crook handle and has been crafted from different types of wood, offering a pleasing variation in colour and texture – from richly patinated dark woods with natural knots to a beautifully grained, polished example and a lighter-toned shaft with a smooth, warm finish. The natural branch examples retain their organic character, highlighting the authenticity and individuality of each piece.
One walking stick is fitted with a horn tip, a desirable and practical feature historically used for durability, while the others are equipped with rubber ferrules added later for stability.
Dimensions: Length ranging from approximately 75 cm to 94 cm
In good antique condition, with attractive age-related patina. Minor surface wear and natural imperfections are present, consistent with age and use, and contributing to the character of the set. Structurally sound.
This elegant group makes a decorative statement and is ideal for collectors of walking sticks, interior styling, or period-inspired displays.
