DescriptionUp for auction is a classic Vivitar v2000 35mm Single Lens Reflex (SLR) film camera set, paired with a versatile Vivitar 70-210mm f/4.5-5.6 MC Macro Focusing Zoom lens.Introduced in the late 1980s / early 1990s, the Vivitar v2000 is a highly reliable, fully mechanical SLR camera. It utilizes the legendary Pentax K-mount, making it compatible with a massive ecosystem of vintage lenses. Because the camera operates with a mechanical focal-plane shutter, it can shoot at all speeds (up to 1/2000s) even without batteries. Batteries are only required to power the internal exposure light meter.
The included 70-210mm zoom lens features Multi-Coating (MC) to reduce flare and ghosts, and it includes a built-in macro close-up focusing capability, making it an excellent all-around lens for portraits, wildlife, and detailed close-up photography.

Mechanical: The film advance lever operates smoothly, and the shutter clicks crisp and fast through the speed ranges. The mechanical self-timer functions properly.
Cosmetic: Excellent vintage condition. The lightweight black composite body is clean with no deep scratches or cracks. Very light, age-appropriate signs of use.
Optics: The front element of the lens is clean. The focus ring and zoom push-pull mechanism move smoothly. The aperture blades are clean and dry.
Battery Compartment: Clean and free of any historic battery leakage.
