An exceptional collector’s lot by renowned Belgian contemporary artist Luc Dondeyne (1963), comprising the limited edition silkscreen “Two Natures” together with the original exhibition catalogue Distances, personally dedicated and signed by the artist.

The silkscreen is hand-signed in pencil, dated 2007, and numbered 7/25, making it one of only twenty-five impressions produced. It is professionally presented behind a dark passe-partout in an elegant wooden frame measuring approximately 60 × 70 cm, ready for immediate display.

What makes this example particularly desirable is its documented provenance.

The work was acquired directly by the present owner during the vernissage of Luc Dondeyne’s exhibition at Galerie Transit, the gallery representing the artist. During the opening, the accompanying exhibition catalogue Distances was personally dedicated and signed by Luc Dondeyne.

The signed exhibition catalogue is included in this lot.

The catalogue reproduces the original oil painting “Two Natures” (2006, 62 × 95 cm) from which this limited-edition silkscreen was produced, providing a direct documentary connection between the offered artwork and its original painted composition.

Luc Dondeyne studied Graphic Arts at Sint-Lukas Brussels before completing a Master’s degree in Painting at the Brussels University College of Art. His work has been exhibited extensively in Belgium and internationally, including exhibitions at S.M.A.K. Ghent, MARTA Herford (Germany), Flanders House New York, Museum Hof van Busleyden, CIAP Hasselt, Galerie Transit, Ram Gallery Rotterdam, and numerous other museums, galleries and cultural institutions.

“Two Natures” is one of Dondeyne’s most recognisable figurative compositions, combining psychological depth with a refined contemporary visual language. Its harmonious palette of greens, blues and warm earth tones makes it equally suitable for private collections and sophisticated contemporary interiors.
