This impressive antique carved wooden chest is a fine example of 19th-century European Renaissance Revival furniture. Crafted from richly figured walnut, it features an elaborate architectural design with two large front panels, deeply carved with scrolling acanthus foliage, floral motifs, and symmetrical ornamental compositions. The upper edge is decorated with a continuous carved scalloped frieze, while the fluted pilasters emphasize its classical character.
