Caperdonich 1982 36 years old Private Collection - Gordon & MacPhail - b. 2019 - 70 cl

O very rare bottling from the Caperdonich distillery, which was mothballed in 2002. Bottled at a natural cask strength of 46.6% abv this is an extremely limited release of just 114 bottles. Matured for 36 years in a single refill bourbon barrel, this 1982-vintage single malt was bottled in January 2019.

Sweet aromas of honeysuckle, citrus peel and toffee mingle with fresh mint and grass, while the palate initially offers notes of liquorice root. Crisp red apples and dry oak spice emerge, as well as a rich, nutty undertones, before a sweet, malty and oaky finish.
