The Yashica Electro 35 CCN of the early 1970s is the wide-angle member of the Electro 35 family, the rangefinder series famous for its electronically controlled stepless shutter that earned the nickname 'the poor man's Leica'. Unusually for the class, the CCN carries a genuinely wide and fast Color-Yashinon DX 35mm f/1.8 lens — a specification almost no other fixed-lens rangefinder offered — making it a favourite for available-light and street photography. Its aperture-priority automation holds the shutter open as long as the scene requires, and the compact black body with the WIDE badge is among the most collectable of the Electro line.
