Kodak Cartridge No. 4. Early Kodak roll film camera that was also suitable for glass plates with a glassplate adaption. This version is from the year 1898, all parts are in bright brass, changed to nikkel in 1899. The red bellows are light-tight. The original shutter is the very early so-called “triple action” shutter that does not function. Rising front for correcting paralax distortion. This version is for roll film, still has the original wooden roll film spool. Backside opens by means of a lever on the right in the bottom of the dropbed. It also has a built-in tripod for vertical pictures in the bottom of the dropbed. Camera in excellent cosmetic condition.
