Chicago Bulls – NBA Basketball – Scottie Pippen
Beautiful Scottie Pippen basketball with silver signature, certificate of authenticity, and a luxurious display case with aluminum nameplate. One of the stars of the hit Netflix series The Last Dance.
Alongside Michael Jordan, he is a true NBA legend of the Chicago Bulls of that era.
His versatility and performances during the pre-draft NBA workouts were enough to attract the attention of several NBA teams, including the Chicago Bulls. Pippen was the fifth overall pick by the Seattle SuperSonics in the 1987 NBA Draft. The Bulls negotiated with the Seattle SuperSonics to acquire Pippen for their team. His draft rights were traded by the SuperSonics for Chicago center Olden Polynice.
He debuted in 1987 with the Chicago Bulls. Throughout the ’90s, Pippen was instrumental along with Michael Jordan in their six NBA championships (1991, 1992, 1993, 1996, 1997, 1998) and in their record 72-win season in 1995–96.
After the last championship with the Bulls, the team was dismantled following the departure of teammate Michael Jordan and coach Phil Jackson. Pippen was traded along with several players to the Houston Rockets and from that moment on played with a potential championship lineup featuring Charles Barkley and Hakeem Olajuwon. However, the connection between the players didn’t materialize, and Pippen was traded to the Portland Trail Blazers after one season. With Portland, the team faced the Los Angeles Lakers of Shaquille O’Neal and Kobe Bryant repeatedly. The championship never came. After the 2002–2003 season, Pippen left the Trail Blazers and joined a new generation of Bulls.
Pippen is considered one of the greatest small forwards of all time. He was also named to the NBA All-Defensive First Team eight times and the All-NBA First Team three times. He won numerous awards and titles, including being listed among the 50 greatest players in NBA history. Pippen won two Olympic gold medals with the U.S. national basketball team: in 1992 in Barcelona, with the team known as the “Dream Team” for featuring the best NBA players of the time, and in 1996 in Atlanta. In February 2007, he announced he was considering a comeback.
The ball is in good condition but shows some signs of use. The signature is fantastic!
