Up for sale is a RARE lower mandible of prehistoric big cat Panthera zdanskyi (carnivorous mammal) from early Pleistocene of Linxia basin, Gansu, China!
This’s a very well preserved lower right mandible specimen of the rare carnivorous species of Panthera zdanskyi, with few feeding marks on its canine tooth. P. zdanskyi is an extinct felid Pantherine species dating from the Early Pleistocene (approximately 2.2 to 2.5 million years ago), formally described in 2011 (Mazák et al., 2011), and considered a basal member of the modern tgier (P. tigris) lineage.
