A beautiful mid-century pendant lamp by Temde — classic Scandinavian / Space-Age design from the 1960s/1970s. The piece displays natural materials and warm, cozy texture, typical for Temde’s hanging lamps combining wood (likely teak) and woven or natural-fiber shade (sisal / cord / textile) for soft ambient light. This lamp is a fine example of Temde’s warm, naturalistic aesthetic, combining wood and woven materials to cast a gentle, diffused light — ideal for interiors with vintage, Scandinavian or organic-modern vibe. SOME GENERAL INFORMATIONS: Founded in 1911 in Detmold (Germany), with later expansion into Switzerland, Temde became known for high-quality lighting fixtures blending craftsmanship with modern design. Throughout the 1950s–1970s the company produced a wide range of pendant, table, wall and floor lamps — many of which are now considered classics of mid-century modern and “Space Age” design.
