This is a medium-size mani singing bowl with a golden patina. The base and the lower wall has a darker greenish patina, while the upper wall and inside the bowl, it has a lighter golden patina, due to some cleaning in the past. This type of bowls called mani or elephant's foot because of the shape, flat bottom, bulbous conical shape with wide inward-facing grooved lip, and decorative bands forming a collar around the outer rim and belly. The base tone of the bowl it is in 5th octave with a very high pitch close to note F#5. The tone is clear and pure. Usually this type of bowls are for striking because of the very thick walls, but with little effort it can be rim played also with the leather covered stick. A sound that can give a signal for the beginning or end of a meditation, but can be also used along on a set of singing bowls. The bowl is in excellent structural and sounding condition, with very very few small spots of oxidation on the inside. The bowl comes with one mallet for striking and one stick for rim play. And a cushion. It will be very carefully packed and shipped with a tracking number.
