Andrzej Dąbek - Veil of the Celestial Tide
An impressive piece of art.
In this enchanting canvas, the artist captures the ethereal interplay between sky and sea, evoking a sense of adventure and mystery reminiscent of symbolist landscapes. The painting's composition is anchored by a fantastical vessel, proudly cutting through shimmering waves, bathed in cool blues and aquamarines. A captivating sky above is punctuated by dramatic clouds, illuminated by celestial rays that guide the ship's voyage.
The bold contrasts and dynamic brushwork bring to mind the expressive qualities of post-impressionism while the surreal elements suggest influences of a dreamlike avant-garde. As the echoes of light and shadow dance across the water, one is invited to ponder the voyage of self-discovery, eternally luminous and alluringly enigmatic.

Do you dare to look beyond the framework of reality?
Andrzej Dąbek is an artist whose creative activities are focused around Judaic culture. Fascinated by the Bible, he draws from its content, transporting himself and us to another dimension. This is what he says about himself:
My visions and fascinations was born from the space of the Living Word. Memory intertwined with imagination, whispering: Go higher and higher, to the source of inspiration. The images of the prophets' expectations, full of comparisons and references, encouraged me to make a vivid commentary. Maybe it will become a path leading to the treasury of understanding God's plan for us?
Andrzej Dąbek was born in 1956 in Kraków, where he still lives and works. He graduated from the Art High School and then studied art education at the WSP under the supervision of, among others, Stanisław Rodziński and Stanisław Batruch. The artist's works are distinguished by thematic uniformity and the simultaneous diversity of techniques used: oil painting, watercolours, pastels, drawings, collages.
Andrzej Dąbek has had numerous exhibitions, including: the Isaac Synagogue in Kraków, the Synagogue in Łęczna, the seat of the Social and Cultural Association of Jews in Częstochowa, the Białoprądnicki Manor, and the Museum in Chrzanów. The artist's works are in many private collections in Poland and abroad.
