I am offering a striking and highly decorative piece of Czech handmade glass by Egermann, produced in the traditional glassmaking region of Nový Bor. This is a classic hot-worked studio piece: thick crystal glass shaped by hand into a dynamic crown-like form with sculptural pulled rims. The dominant feature is the deep green core, which beautifully glows through the glass when light passes through it, creating strong depth and optical movement typical for Egermann works. Each curve was formed manually with tools directly at the furnace, therefore it is not perfectly symmetrical — and that is exactly what proves true hand production rather than pressed factory glass. In an interior it functions more as a design sculpture than an ordinary bowl.
