Om BASM

As an artist my main goal is not only to attract the viewer’s interest but also to arouse an emotion and when they look at my work, I want them to see more than an image, I would like them to see it as a message. A painting that speaks both to me and the viewer about ourselves and the world we live in.
Som konstnär är mitt främsta mål inte bara att fånga betraktarens intresse utan också väcka en känsla, och när de ser mitt arbete vill jag att de ska se mer än en bild – jag vill att de ser det som ett budskap. En målning som talar både till mig och till betraktaren om oss själva och världen vi lever i.
I do not limit myself to one medium, subject or style, sometimes could be a mixed media piece or a sculpture, sometimes the spray paint hits the canvas or the brush meets the paper, it's always something different. This way I can express all my ideas freely and the result could be outright daring and provocative, erotic and humorous or just an intense socio-political commentary about the world.
Jag begränsar mig inte till ett enda medium, ämne eller stil; ibland kan det vara ett mixed media-arbete eller en skulptur, ibland träffar sprayfärgen canvasen eller borsten möter pappret, det är alltid något annorlunda. På så sätt kan jag uttrycka alla mina idéer fritt och resultatet kan vara riktigt djärvt och provocerande, erotiskt och humoristiskt eller bara en intensiv samhälls-politisk kommentar om världen.
