The Castle of Sala is located in Umbria, a short distance from the border with Tuscany, about 18 kilometers from the historic city of Orvieto. The lands of the Castle, an imposing medieval manor, extend for 600 hectares, of which 229 hectares planted in vineyards, at a height of 220 - 470 meters above sea level, among the rolling hills that characterize the beautiful countryside of these areas. The soil tends to be clayey, calcareous, rich in fossil shells, with vineyards well exposed to the sunrise and with excellent temperature excursions: that of the Castello della Sala is an area highly suitable for the production of whites. Only one exception: Pinot noir, finds in this terroir the ideal conditions to express yourself at your best.
