This is a limited-edition set of book-shaped porcelain decanters created specifically for the Camus Cognac brand.
Produced to commemorate the bicentenary of the birth of Emperor Napoleon I (1769–1969), these decanters are crafted from fine Limoges porcelain, renowned for its exceptional French craftsmanship.
Each decanter is designed to resemble a hardcover book and features a portrait of Napoleon Bonaparte on the front: one depicts a bust of Napoleon in military uniform, while the other shows the Emperor in a full-length standing pose. The surface is adorned with hand-painted 24K gold details, including a crown motif, laurel wreath, Imperial Eagle emblem, gilded lettering, and a chain-link border; the spine features a dark green glazed band that mimics the texture of bookbinding.
Condition:
Both decanters are missing their original stoppers. The porcelain bodies are free of major cracks, chips, or severe damage, showing only minor signs of age consistent with vintage collectibles.
