Vägglampett - Murano-glas

Distinctive vintage Murano glass wall sconce, made in Italy during the second half of the twentieth century, approximately the 1970s or 1980s.

The lamp features a substantial oval glass shade decorated with a dramatic spiral motif. Layers of white and translucent glass create a fluid swirling effect that converges towards the centre, while two fine dark lines follow the curve of the spiral and emphasise its dynamic movement.

The low-profile sculptural form gives the light a striking appearance even when it is switched off. Once illuminated, the translucent areas of the glass diffuse a soft atmospheric glow and reveal the depth and movement of the internal decoration.

The glass shade is supported by a white-painted metal mounting plate. The fixture is designed primarily as a wall sconce, although its flush-mounted construction may also make it suitable for installation on a ceiling, subject to assessment by a qualified electrician.

The Murano glass is in good vintage condition, with no chips or cracks observed. Minor surface marks and small variations within the glass may be present and are consistent with its age and handcrafted production. The metal mounting plate displays light age-related wear.

Please note that the lamp is currently supplied without electrical wiring and will require suitable electrical components before installation. It should be inspected and installed by a qualified electrician in accordance with the regulations of the destination country.

No manufacturer’s label or designer’s signature has been identified. The lamp is therefore described as vintage Murano glass on the basis of its construction, material and provenance, without attribution to a specific Murano factory.
