Akronymen

From the 1980s this beautiful integrated amplifier Marantz PM510 in excellent condition. Compact and robust, with the classic Marantz front, phono input, tuner, aux input, tape connections, loudness, bass/treble control, a functioning 5-band equalizer, balance and the possibility to connect two pairs of speakers. This amplifier represents an interesting transitional point for the brand. Dynamic and bright, unlike older Maranzt models, the PM550DC is more open and analytical. The acronym "DC" (Direct Coupled) indicates a design that emphasizes transient speed and an extended frequency response. The sound is lively, with a strong presence of high frequencies that makes it ideal for those who seek detail rather than a muffled sound. Don’t expect that soft, punchy bass typical of 1970s models; here the bass is more precise and “fast.” The 5-band Graphic Equalizer is a distinctive feature that greatly influences the sound; it allows you to correct potential deficiencies of the speakers or the room. However, adding too much emphasis can slightly dirty the signal’s transparency. When used moderately, it is a very powerful tool to customize listening. A good aesthetic condition with normal signs of wear consistent with age. Extended frequency response that helps improve transient speed (the rapidity of response to sound peaks) and extend the frequency response, especially towards deeper and more defined lows. A Phono MM and MC input on an amplifier indicates the presence of an integrated phono preamplifier (or phono stage) designed to accept and correct signals from turntables, differing according to the type of cartridge installed. Please carefully observe all the photos to avoid misunderstandings. The Marantz will be
