Oris Big Crown Pointer Date ref. 7400B, 32 mm stainless-steel case with coin-edge bezel, silver/opaline guilloché dial with Arabic numerals and railroad minute track, red-crescent pointer date, oversized “Big Crown,” and exhibition caseback. The watch wears beautifully thanks to its compact proportions (approx. 32 mm diameter without crown, ~39–40 mm lug-to-lug, ~10–11 mm thickness) and takes a 17 mm lug width (some 32 mm examples measure 16–17 mm; ask if you need an exact caliper reading). Domed acrylic/mineral crystal is in nice condition with only faint hairlines visible at certain angles; no cracks. The automatic Oris movement (Pointer Date family) winds, sets, and runs well, starts promptly, advances the pointer-date smoothly, and delivers an estimated ~38–40 hours of power reserve in my use; accuracy/power-reserve are not guaranteed as this is a private sale. Dial printing is crisp and even, hands are clean, and the pointer aligns properly over each date. Case and bezel show only light marks from normal wear, no deep dings; the original Oris stainless-steel bracelet is included, fits securely, and shows the typical even stretch for its age. The previous owner reported a full service in 2024 before I purchased the watch.
