A marble chess game element from the ancient Western Asiatic, Bactrian culture .
First Millennium AD or older .
In good condition. It has been cleaned by hand, but the nice antique patina is preserved. Original, ancient, hand cutting,carving and grinding. Traces of use and age on its surface. One ear is repaired.
Purchased mid 90's in Paris by Dr. Zelnik on the local art market .
