Auriverdes released in 2014 for Ardbeg Day amidst the fervor of the FIFA World Cup, this limited-edition Islay whisky captivates with its unique taste and bold presentation. Ardbeg Auriverdes is stored on US oak barrels with specially roasted end pieces tailored to this limited edition. The new roasting technology has given the whiskey a unique flavor, where the end piece on the dish gives coffee and mochasmage at one end, which floats along with creamy vanilla in the other. The name Auriverdes is even put together by the two halves ‘Auri’ (gold) and ‘Verdes’ (green). In addition to being a tribute to Ardbeg’s characteristic golden whiskey and green bottle, the name is also a little nod to the Brazilian national team as that years (2014) host for the World Cup.
