Goose Island Bourbon County Brand Classic Cola Stout 2021 Pushing the boundaries of barrel-aged stouts is in our DNA, and with that, we brought to life our first-ever cola-inspired variant. Brewers Paul Cade and Jason Krasowski bonded over their love for a classic cola while creating the Classic Cola Stout. Combining the refreshing nature of classic cola and picking up the flavor profile from a whisky cola, we added lime and orange juice and zest, plus coriander, cassia bark, nutmeg, brown sugar, and vanilla to bring out the complex characters of the classic drink. This is the ultimate twist on a whiskey cola and a must-try for Bourbon County Stout, cola, or whiskey/cola lovers.

Bourbon County Brand Fourteen Stout 2021 For the first time ever, we dug into the Proprietor’s (Chicago-only release) vault and bringing back a fan favorite with Bourbon County Fourteen Stout. But this time, it’s with a twist. We’re paying homage to the popular Proprietor’s 2014 recipe, but upping the rye ante by adding rye to the mash bill. Layering cassia bark, cocoa nibs, panela sugar, and coconut water, this stout has an intricate, sweet and spicy flavor profile that will have fans going back sip after sip.

Goose Island Bourbon County Brand Stout 2021 his rich Imperial Stout is blended from a mix of bourbon barrels from distilleries like Heaven Hill, Wild Turkey, and Buffalo Trace, each aged for 8-14 months in freshly emptied bourbon barrels. Expect flavors of chocolate and vanilla, oak, whiskey, and molasses, followed by caramel, berries, and almond.

Goose Island Bourbon County Reserve Elijah Craig 2018 Stout. The same basic recipe as Bourbon County Stout Original, but this beer is aged in 12-year-old "Elijah Craig Barrel Proof" bourbon barrels. The bourbon from these barrels was named "Whisky of the Year" by Whisky Advocate in 2017, the highest honor in the world of international whisky. Reserve is intended to showcase the nuances of a premium, single-source, highly sought-after bourbon.

Goose Island Bourbon County Brand Bramble Rye Stout 2018. For this version, the brewers aged Bourbon County Stout in rye whiskey barrels and then added raspberry and blackberry juices and mash from Michigan and Washington. This process resulted in complex, jammy fruit notes that are prominent yet well-integrated with the beer's caramel and chocolate flavors and the spicy rye character from the barrels.

Goose Island's Bourbon County Brand Stout 2018 is probably the most popular barrel-aged beer in the world. This is because they started seriously aging their beers in whiskey barrels. While beer used to be stored in wooden barrels, this wasn't done for the flavors imparted by the barrel. Goose Island aged their beer in Maker's Mark bourbon barrels because other bourbon suppliers wouldn't part with their barrels. These days, they'd use all sorts of barrels. The beer has a beautiful toasted character and is rich in flavor, with plenty of vanilla and bourbon notes. The finish lingers and is sweet without being overly sweet. A truly beautiful barrel-aged beer!
