Kokeshi dolls are a traditional Japanese craft. This is a very cute item with a distinctly Japanese character. The larger one measures 21 cm in height, 9 cm in depth, and 9 cm in width. The smaller one measures 7.5 cm in height, 8 cm in depth, and 8 cm in width. The larger one is an Usaburo Kokeshi. The smaller one is unsigned. Condition: Both have some minor scratches, but overall they are clean and in good condition Usaburo Kokeshi (卯三郎, 1917–2009) was a renowned Japanese kokeshi doll craftsman from Gunma Prefecture. He founded Usaburo Kokeshi in 1950 and became known for modernizing traditional wooden dolls by introducing creative designs, vibrant colors, and innovative techniques.
