Æ (XX-XXI) - Miles Davis – Black & White Jazz Triptych (Set of 3) | Hand-Painted Limited Edition by Æ

Æ (XX–XXI) Jazz Legends Triptych — “Miles Davis” Set of 3 works In this monochrome triptych, Æ reflects on the presence of Miles Davis — not as a fixed icon, but as a shifting force of sound, silence, and transformation. The three images move like a slow jazz passage: restrained, inward, then suddenly electric. Across the panels, Miles appears absorbed in himself — bent over his trumpet, eyes closed or turned inward, caught between breath and note. These are not performances for an audience, but private moments where music is formed before it is heard. The grain, the darkness, and the fractured textures echo the raw edges of improvisation — where control and chaos briefly meet. Together, the works form a visual solo: cool, introspective, and quietly intense. A meditation on restraint, risk, and the courage to reinvent — again and again. Each piece is hand-finished, signed, and numbered, forming a cohesive homage to a musician who understood that sometimes the most powerful sound is the one that almost isn’t played. ◉ Total size: 37 x 22 cm (2 artworks, each 37 x 22 cm). ◉ Original ink-style artworks by artist Æ, part of a limited edition with only 10 unique variations. ◉ Hand-painted using spray paint and pastel crayons, each piece is hand-signed and numbered. ◉ Authenticated with a holographic seal of authenticity on the included certificate card. ◉ Created on acid-free Hahnemühle rice paper for Sumi-e (Japanese for “black ink”), ensuring archival quality. ◉ Limited and authorized edition, registered with an ID and listed in the artist’s official catalog. Artist and designer Æ holds a Bachelor’s degree in Digital Design and Multimedia Technologies (Barcelona, 2004) and a Bachelor’s degree in East Asian Studies. Drawn to digital mediums from an early age, Æ has been creating and experimenting since the era of 1980s computer graphics, developing a unique aesthetic influenced by minimalism, conceptual art, and skateboard graphics. His works are featured in private collections across more than 30 countries, including The Netherlands, Belgium, Italy, Singapore, Hong Kong, and Taiwan. Notably, his pieces are also part of public collections, such as the Oriental Art Collection at the Zaragoza Museum (2024), home to Spain’s most significant collection of Eastern art. Æ’s artwork is defined by its minimalist style, employing a restrained palette and simple forms to convey profound emotions and ideas. His frequent use of stark, high-contrast imagery accentuates the interplay between light and darkness, hope and despair. This minimalist approach fosters an eerie, unsettling atmosphere that amplifies themes of isolation. Through this pared-down aesthetic, Æ achieves a powerful emotional impact with minimal imagery, compelling the viewer to confront the stark realities of a new world, rich with symbols, East Asian characters, and iconic imagery. Artist was the subject of a review by respected exhibitions art curator Thierry Fournier (Artnoises). “Collected AE (XX), it comes down to wanting, breaking, transgressing, an invisible border, to merging the civilizational DNA of the future and the past, looking down and in the same second, rocking! the work becomes a ticket, a simple ‘go!’ for an emotional teleportation that we live and see in ‘Black and white’! Æ2381 pushes you to jump into a void, in fact, populated with images, symbols, unexplored signs that propels us to a Real Timeless!” — T.
