A refined Bizen ware sake bottle (tokkuri) by acclaimed Japanese ceramic artist Ichiro Nomura (野村一郎).
This powerful yet elegant work exemplifies the true spirit of traditional yakishime (unglazed, high-fired) Bizen pottery, featuring a rich interplay of reddish fire-marked clay, natural ash deposits, and deep iron-toned surfaces created solely by flame and earth.
The dignified shoulder, compact mouth, and well-balanced proportions reflect a high level of craftsmanship suitable for both connoisseur display and refined daily use.
The piece is accompanied by its original signed wooden storage box (tomobako) and artist’s shiori certificate, confirming its authenticity and provenance.
