A striking and wide wooden ishô’dansu 衣装箪笥 (cabinet of drawers) in two sections, showcasing decorative iron hardware. Fully restored, cleaned, and waxed.
Crafted from indigenous kiri (paulownia) wood finished in a warm brown hue we refer to as ‘golden oak’.
The upper section contains two spacious full-width drawers. The lower section holds two drawers of varying size and a hinged door opening to two additional small drawers. Each drawer front is fitted with large circular lock plates chiselled with a crest 紋 (mon) depicting the threeleaf arrowhead 沢瀉 (omodaka). Equipped with sturdy hirute-shaped iron bail handles on elongated escutcheons, and N-shaped pole-carrying handles on the sides for transport.

In very good restored condition, with subtle signs of age and use. Small dent left side. No key included. Please refer to the photos for a clear condition reference.
