Spanish Civil War, the legendary original Trubia helmet, model 1926, named Azaña in honor of the President of the Republic under whose rule the helmet was regulated. Used primarily by the People's Army of the Spanish Republic, although it was also used by Franco's Nationalist Army. Made of rolled steel, with a rounded, flared shape, a slight front visor, and a brim at the back. It retains its original wartime interior in light hazelnut-colored leather. This model was reused in the 1940s by Franco's Armed Forces, with the addition of the Eagle of Saint John with the Cross of Saint James, Patron Saint of Spain, the emblem of the Spanish Nationalist Army.
