William Hinton 6 Years Old Rum 2 x 0.70L Madeira's Rum VINIFICATION This is a rum that results from our desire to elevate the level of quality, complexity, and sophistication of Madeira Rum. It is a blend of rums aged in five types of barrels, including Madeira Wine. Sweet aromas with hints of smoky wood and rich flavors of vanilla and caramel. It finishes dry, long, and fresh. TASTING NOTES An attractive amber rum, with coppery nuances that invite you to taste it. Rich and complex, this rum exudes aromas of caramel, vanilla, chocolate, coffee, all wrapped in a touch of smoked wood, admirably well integrated. The 6 years of aging in French oak barrels allowed a perfect integration of the alcohol and the obtained notes of dried fruits and spices, to which the balsamic and resinous aromas quickly arise. This Rum combines complexity and elegance, challenging the senses. Very well structured and round in the mouth, reveals notes of caramel, vanilla, black pepper and nuts. Balanced, fine and distinct, finishes dry, long and with a good freshness. SERVING Excellent at the end of the meal, as a digestive, or in cocktails. Store in an upright position, in a cool, dry place, protected from light and temperature fluctuations. Consume in moderation. HISTORY The island of Madeira started the sugar culture at the same time and of its colonization in 1425. The Hinton family dominated the sugarcane sector during the second half of the 19th century and first half of the XX century due to its developed industrial unit that got to process 600 tons day. It is still an old column of the old Hinton mill that currently produces this careful spirit in a brand recovered by a direct family member because of the affection he had to the sector.
