Recording King RPH-R2-E-BRB – Dirty 30s Minnie Bucker Resonator
The Recording King RPH-R2-E-BRB is a wooden resonator guitar in Single-O format from the Dirty 30s Minnie Bucker Resonator series. This model combines a classic resonator tone with the ability to play amplified, thanks to a built-in mini-humbucker pickup in the neck position.
General description
The guitar is constructed with a spruce top and a body made of White Wood for the sides and back. The resonator system consists of a hand-spun 9.5″ Recording King cone, mounted in a pedestal-style soundwell, providing powerful, focused resonance and a pronounced midrange.
The biscuit bridge with an ebony/maple saddle contributes to a direct attack and classic resonator response. The maple neck with a Contemporary C profile and ovangkol fingerboard ensures a comfortable playing feel. The guitar is finished in Satin Brownburst.
Playing experience
The Single-O body makes the instrument more compact and lighter than many traditional resonators. The tone is raw, clear, and mid-focused, making it highly suitable for blues, slide, and roots music. The mini-humbucker allows for amplified use without losing the character of the resonator.
