Item Description: This is a beautifully crafted Jusendana (fan-motif tea shelf) by Kyoto lacquer artist Hyokan Kawase. Featuring an elegant fan-shaped design (sensu) with delicate gold and silver maki-e and chrysanthemum flower motifs, this tea shelf exemplifies refined Kyoto lacquerware aesthetics. The asymmetrical structure combines natural bamboo and wood elements with a rich tame-nuri (transparent lacquer) finish on the top surface, creating a balanced yet dynamic visual impression. Its elegant construction and decorative harmony from all angles make it a striking addition to any tea room. Comes with the original signed wooden box (tomobako).
