These are very old banknotes issued in Japan during the Edo period..
Called "Han-Fuda 藩札"
The Edo period was unified by the “Tokugawa clan”. Therefore, there is naturally a common currency. However, the unique banknotes of local “Han 藩” were also often used in those days. Many were issued on the occasion of financial difficulties. After the Meiji era, “Han-Fuda 藩札” were banned.

◆銀壱匁 Gin-Ichi-Monme
In the mid-to-late Edo period, one gold ryo (一両 Ichiryo) was equivalent to 60 monme of silver.
One gold ryo is approximately 75,000 yen today.
One silver monme(銀壱匁 Gin-Ichi-Monme) = 75,000 yen / 60 monmes = 1,250 yen
