Spinosaur - Fossiler Zahn - 10.4 cm (Ohne mindestpreis)

→10.4 cm long Spinosaurus teeth It is very nice and curved teeth of the legendary Spinosaurus . Some enamel at the tip is eroded exposing the white underside which is very interesting in its own way as it gives a peek into inside of the fossil. In general, however, majority of the enamel along the length of the teeth is greatly preserved. There is presence of sand/earth clay towards the bottom of the teeth which is purely attributed to the fossilization process. Based on our analysis, the teeth is in natural state without restoration. The weak fault line or weak cracks around the top region are natural as well. Usually the cracks are filled when teeth are retrieved by fossil collectors ( which is part of restoration process and good idea also) but we don't see any evidence of it. Closeup photos are provided as well for viewers to examine just incase we have missed something. One can say that it is naturally conserved teeth with very good shine as well. Those teeth are mostly shed by the Spinosaurus as teeth continue to get replaced and at the bottom gives idea about the detachment of the teeth root from the base when the Spinosaurus was alive 95 million years ago. It can be seen in one of the photo. The underside also gives an idea about the cross section of the teeth. It looks like one outer layer perhaps a millimetre or so thick surrounding the inner surface. We have provided another photo of the underside of another Spinosaurus teeth for comparison, which is quite different than the presented fossil. Overall its a beautiful Spinosaurus teeth specimen. Detailed photos have been provided for reference.
