Three Imperial Japanese Medals (1920s–1940s)
Japanese Red Cross Medal. Silver medal issued by the Japanese Red Cross Society, mainly during the late Meiji to early Shōwa period. Awarded to nurses, medical staff, members, and donors in recognition of humanitarian and wartime medical service. Silver weight is ca. 15g.
China Incident War Medal (1937–1945). Bronze campaign medal instituted by Imperial Japan for service in the China Incident and later WWII operations. Awarded to Japanese military personnel and approved civilian auxiliaries who served in China. In original presentation box.
First National Census Commemorative Medal (1920). Bronze commemorative medal issued by Japan to mark the country’s first modern national census conducted in 1920 (Taishō period). Awarded to government officials, local administrators, and census staff involved in the organization and execution of the census.
