Description:
This is an authentic Japanese woodblock print (nishiki-e) created in the 1980s by Kyoto Hanga-in. The artwork depicts Grand Champion Taihō, one of the greatest yokozuna in sumo history, entering the dohyō (sumo ring). The print was produced using traditional woodblock techniques.
Artist: Daimon Kinoshita (b. 1946, from Teshikaga, Hokkaido)
Era: 1980s
Medium: Original woodblock print
Paper: Echizen Washi (hand-made fine Japanese paper)
Condition: Excellent — unused and well preserved
