Quiet Turning is part of the In Between Series
This collection came from the quiet, in-between moments we all experience - the ones that don’t look dramatic from the outside but somehow change us deeply. The small emotional shifts. The pauses. The waiting. The letting go.

It’s like standing by the ocean, watching the tide move in and out. Nothing feels urgent, yet everything is slowly changing. These paintings live in that space - between what has already happened and what hasn’t quite begun.

They hold that familiar feeling of being between chapters in your life. Not fully where you’re going, but no longer where you were. A little uncertain. A little hopeful. A little tender.

My hope is that when you look at these pieces, you feel invited to slow down, take a breath, and maybe see a part of your own story reflected at you.

About the artist

Luca Domiro (b. 1979) is a UK-based artist whose work reflects a life shaped by movement, culture, and rediscovery. Born in South Africa with Italian roots, his paintings are deeply influenced by a strong connection to nature, place, and lived experience.

Early international travel with the Drakensberg Boys’ Choir shaped his sensitivity to colour, light, and atmosphere - qualities that continue to define his work today. After two decades in the corporate world, Luca returned to painting with renewed clarity and purpose, bringing authenticity and emotional depth to his practice.

Working across Abstract Landscapes, Portraits, and Seascapes, he creates contemplative pieces that explore memory, resilience, and quiet moments of connection. His paintings invite collectors to pause, reflect, and discover their own stories within the work.

His work is collected internationally particularly across Europe, USA and Canada and is exhibited worldwide.
