Description:
Delicate mesh patterns are drawn on the Tamenuri surface. It features a design with a contrast between the transparency of the lacquer on the surface and the mesh, suitable for all seasons. Fine strike scratches are present in several places.

Artist Profile:
Born in Kyoto Prefecture in 1932. Currently has a workshop in Ishikawa Prefecture. Produces tea utensils such as Natsume and Cha-ire. He has high technical skills, including involvement in the Wajima-nuri process. Applies elaborate Makie to works.

Original wooden box signed and sealed by the artist.
