Vintage Brass Mantel Clock – “Cambridge” – Made in England – Mid-20th Century
Description
Elegant mid-20th-century English mantel clock in a polished brass case, retailed under the name Cambridge. The clock features a refined rectangular architectural case with bevelled glass front and a brushed silvered dial with minimalist baton hour markers and gilt hands, reflecting the clean modernist style of the 1950s–1960s.
The dial is signed “Cambridge” and marked “Made in England”, indicating production for the British market during the mid-20th century. This clocks is associated with Garrard & Co. of London, historically known as the Royal Jewellers.
The clock is housed in a solid brass case with stepped base and top, giving it a refined, architectural appearance suitable for a desk, mantelpiece or display cabinet.
