Dial and Hands
The silver sunburst dial is a masterclass in mid-century design, reflecting light beautifully across its brushed texture. It features applied gold-tone faceted baton hour markers, with subtle black accents adding depth and legibility. The applied Seiko logo and crisp script printing for the Seikomatic Diashock 35 Jewels designation remain perfectly intact. A framed day and date aperture sits cleanly at the three o'clock position. The dial presents in exceptionally clean condition, showing only the faintest signs of natural aging near the outer edges under high magnification. The matching gold-tone dauphine hands are sharp and well-proportioned, exhibiting light, age-consistent surface oxidation that confirms their originality and adds authentic vintage character.

Case and Crystal
The 36 millimeter gold-plated case features a classic profile with sharply down-turned lugs and a beautifully integrated hidden crown at the four o'clock position. The case retains strong lines and defined edges, exhibiting honest signs of vintage wear, including scattered handling marks, micro-scratches, and slight plating wear along the lug tips and bezel edges. The stainless steel caseback is a highlight, featuring a deeply engraved dolphin and crown motif that remains crisp and highly defined, alongside clear factory engravings including the serial and reference numbers. The watch is fitted with a domed acrylic crystal that sits proud of the bezel and presents very cleanly, offering an unobstructed view of the dial beneath.

Movement
Inside beats the impressive Seiko caliber 6218B automatic movement, featuring 35 jewels and a beautifully finished rotor. The movement presents in clean visual condition, with clear factory engravings on the winding weight and bridges. Performing well within expected vintage tolerances; running strong and steady. The timegrapher result is -20s-30s/day.

Strap
The watch is paired with a handsome burgundy brown leather strap featuring contrasting stitching. The strap complements the gold-tone case perfectly and is secured with a matching gold-tone pin buckle.

Condition
This timepiece is in excellent vintage condition. The dial is outstandingly preserved, acting as the visual centerpiece of the watch. The gold-plated case shows expected, honest wear consistent with careful use over the decades, while the stainless steel caseback retains remarkably sharp engravings.
